Scan Recipes From Cookbooks

Last Updated: February 11, 2026

Love your physical cookbooks but hate losing your page? Digitize your favorites so they are searchable, scalable, and shareable.

How to Scan

  1. Lay your cookbook flat on a table.
  2. Open CookEase on your phone and go to Quick Add > Upload File.
  3. Select Camera (if prompted) or take a photo with your camera app first.
  4. Snap a clear picture of the page. If the recipe spans two pages, take a photo of both or upload two separate images in sequence (currently supported via Paste mode text combination).

Once processed, you can edit any typos or add your own notes, like "Use less salt" or "Cook for 5 extra minutes."
